Went to church in morning with B [Beryl]. Not very inspiring. Strolled in afternoon alone - country makes me feel peculiar when I look at it and think. Felt mucky in evening. ------
Rainy and galey. P still re-arranges the T.T. [timetable] and messes up lessons. However, we had geometry which was something. Too blustering to go out in evening. Sent off B's wedding present - fish cutlery. ------
I knew it would come to it, sooner or later. Had a row with Fount. She hadn't told me not to listen to the broadcast, so she came in and stormed and made stupid and vapid remarks after it. Herded me into her room to dress me down. Just as I was going to stick up for myself, I dissolved into tears. Oh God. Why can't I control myself in front of some people. Whereupon whe apologised and patted me, which made me hate her worse than ever. She should never be allowed to be a head at all. ------
H [Hilda] still away - don't like it without her! B and I went to tea with Johnnie - quite pleasant. Then went on to Trefoil Club to take keep fit. Very few but they enjoyed it. ------
Nothing in particular happened, I practised at 24 in the evening and shared a sausage with Ron whilst waiting for the all-clear. V2 - the rocket has been published - we've not had many near.
